Avoiding Harmful Substance in Deodorant

Do not use products with “fragrance” on the labels. The moment you find this term or other similar terms like “eau de toilette” or “parfum,” you might want to avoid this. This label means that the product has undisclosed ingredients, and it could more than a hundred of such. Not having full transparency, it is disadvantageous to not know what you’re buying.

Further, there are products that are labeled as “antibacterial” or “germ-fighting”, and these usual contain triclosan. Make sure to double check the label, and see if the deodorant has natural anti-bacterials like tea tree and clove, and just avoid harmful chemicals like triclosan.
