is it normal to still sweat?

Yes! Only antiperspirants (made with aluminum) block sweat. Haowever, sweat is your body's natural way or responding to heat and eliminating toxins. That said, we do use natural ingredients that help absorb excess moisture and eliminate odor.


what are your instructions for applying deodorant?

Great question, especially because many individuals using our products are new to deodorant! We recommend applying the deodorant to your underarms before getting dressed to give it time to absorb. Of course you want your skin clean and dry. Everyone is different and you will learn your own personal preference, but we recommend starting with 3-5 swipes to each underarm with a medium amount of pressure. If you like, you can rub your arm back and forth to help it absorb more quickly. You definitely do not want to over-apply because that will actually block absorption into the skin. Our deodorants are formulated so that you only need to apply once per day. However, some teens with a very active lifestyle find that they prefer to reapply. We say, that's okay! Our scents are so yummy and our bottles are so fun, if you want to reapply, go for it.  


do you test on animals?

No way! We are animal lovers and cruelty free.  

where are your products made?

All of our products are manufactured in the USA. Actually, we manufacture in the sunshine state - Florida - which is why love palm trees and coconuts.

do you use synthetics, propylene glycol, parabens, phthalates, sulfates or silicon or any other harsh chemicals that are hard to pronounce?

Nope, no, no, no, no, no, no way. We use only the good stuff in all of our products. We believe everyone should be careful about what they put on their skin, most especially our kids. That's why we avoid all synthetics. Check your own products for red flags - you would be surprised, even with products that you think are natural.


do your deodorants contain aluminum?

No. Aluminum is used in antiperspirants to plug the sweat ducts and stop you from perspiring. Sweating, however, is a natural process and your body's response to heat. There has been a lot of debate around possible health risks tied to the use of aluminum and antiperspirants. We say, why risk it at all, keep your products natural and keep aluminum out. Our product is a deodorant that works to prevent odor and absorb moisture; it is not an antiperspirant intended to stop sweat.    


do you use fragrance?

Deodorants are a scented product and let's be honest, most teens and even adults want to use a deodorant that smells great. However, we use ONLY NATURAL FRAGRANCES in our deodorants. These are a blend of essential oils and natural ingredients. We DO NOT use any synthetic fragrance. Some may ask why we do not stick exclusively with essential oils. Deodorants are expected to keep you smelling good all day, and we found that the scents from essential oils may smell good out of the bottle, but dissipated much too rapidly after the initial application and did not provide the experience our users expect.


do your deodorants contain baking soda?

Yes, our deodorants do contain a small percentage of baking soda. We found that formulating with no baking soda at all meant pretty ineffective deodorant and we know our teens want something that works. However, we tested and tested and our formula includes what we found to be the minimum amount of baking soda we could use, while still maintaining an effective, odor absorbing product. (Aka, a lot less baking soda than found in most baking soda based natural deodorants.) We were able to do that because we also use two other powerful natural moisture absorbers and odor blockers - diatomaceous earth and magnesium hydroxide. We also made sure to add vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant. Keep in mind that most people are not sensitive to baking soda products, but no two individuals are the same, and if you do experience any irritation or negative side effects, definitely stop using it and let us know.

what forms of payment do you accept?

We accept American Express, Visa, Mastercard and Discover credit cards or debit cards. You can also pay using PayPal or ApplyPay. We’re always looking to make your shopping experience as easy as possible. If you use another preferred method of payment that we don’t currently offer, tell us about it — we want to know and we will see if we can accommodate!


why am I being charged sales tax?

Because we are based in Florida, we are required by law to collect state sales tax on orders being shipped to Florida. Sales tax will be assessed on the total purchase, excluding shipping. Sales tax charges are based on the state your order is being shipped to. All applicable state and local sales taxes will be calculated during the checkout process.


how long does my order take to ship?

Most orders will ship out within one business day. You will receive a confirmation once your order ships. After an order ships, it usually takes 1--3 business days for delivery. If you are order is time sensitive because it is a gift or needed before a big trip, send us an email at with "I'm in a Hurry" in the subject, and we will see what we can do to speed things up for you.  


may I place an order if I live outside of the united states?

Not My Mama's currently ships to the (50) United States, Puerto Rico, Guam and APO/FPO addresses. Not My Mama's only offers Standard shipping to domestic P.O. Boxes, APO/FPO, Puerto Rico and U.S. Territories. In special circumstances, we may be able to work with you to ship outside the US. Please email us at with your request details.


do you accept returns or exchanges?

We want you to be 100% happy with your purchase. We will gladly accept returns on unused products on orders placed within 30 days and purchased through our website. If a product is used, we will accept a one time courtesy return of a single item. For example, one deodorant. Please email us at with Return in the subject and we'll take care of it. Please note that shipping costs may not be refunded with the return.


can I make changes to my order after it is placed?

Because we ship out our products quickly, we may not be able to make changes to orders that were already placed. However, we recommend that you email us at and we will see if it is not too late to assist you with the changes.




can I create an account if I am under 16?

You must obtain parental/guardian consent before creating an account on Not My Mama's.
